Effective October 10, 2025, NSF requires research security training by all Senior/Key Personnel at proposal submission, per Notice No. 149 released July 10, 2025 (https://www.nsf.gov/notices/important/important-notice-no-149-updates-nsf-research-security/in149). Senior/Key Personnel should complete this training annually within CITI (https://www.citiprogram.org/). See the handout for directions here.

A federal government shutdown began on October 1, 2025, due to a lapse in funding.

Beginning October 1, 2025, NIH requires all Senior/Key Personnel to be trained on “Other Support," per NIH notice NOT-OD-25-133 released July 17, 2025 (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-25-133.html). All Senior/Personnel listed on NIH proposals should review the materials found in Other Support Training.

There is uncertainty concerning how the presidential executive orders will affect federally funded research grants and contracts. We are carefully monitoring the situation. Please follow guidance you receive directly from your program officer or the granting agency. You may also receive further updates related to your specific grant from the Research Administration Office. Research teams should discontinue DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility) activities required on federally funded projects. Otherwise, please continue with your work as usual until more information is available.

Beginning October 23, 2023 NSF will require that all Biosketches and Current and Pending Support be built via SciENcv. Click here for more information from NSF.
